Job summary

Salient Motion seeks a Senior Technical Recruiter to anchor our recruiting on-site in Hawthorne, CA. You will own full-cycle recruiting for core engineering roles across hardware, embedded software, controls, and robotics, partnering with engineering leadership to define hiring criteria and sourcing strategies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience.
• Experience hiring hardware, mechanical, electrical, robotics, or embedded software engineers.
• Autonomous operator, able to work with minimal supervision and on-site.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle recruiting for core engineering requisitions across hardware, embedded/firmware, controls, mechanical design, robotics, and software.
• Take on a significant portion of the team’s current recruiting load as we scale.
• Serve as the senior on-site recruiting contact, running day-to-day operations independently.
• Partner with engineering leadership to scope roles, define criteria, and build sourcing strategies.
• Proactively source passive candidates in aerospace, defense, robotics, and motion/controls.
• Manage candidate experience end-to-end: screening, interviewing, feedback, offers, and closing.
• Refine hiring processes, interview scorecards, and loops to support growth.
• Track pipeline health, time-to-fill, and funnel metrics; flag risks.
• Navigate defense-adjacent compliance with Legal/People.
