Job summary

LiveKit is seeking a Senior Technical Recruiter to partner with engineering teams and own end-to-end searches across infra, backend, SDK, and AI roles. The role emphasizes understanding technical work and business impact, with a focus on a thoughtful, high-quality recruiting process.

You’ll source deeply, build repeatable pipelines, and drive a candidate-centric experience from kickoff to signed offer. This is an in-house, SF-based position with a steady technical recruiting tempo.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting, in-house.
• Experience owning senior and staff-level engineering searches.
• Ability to converse with engineers about their work.
• Proactive sourcing and strong bench-building skills.
• Experience recruiting for infrastructure, developer tools, AI, or open source.
• Built or rebuilt a recruiting process from scratch.
• Proven ability to win top talent against big tech offers.

Responsibilities

• Own 8–10 engineering and technical searches end to end.
• Partner with engineering hiring managers to align role needs with market.
• Source hard: find infra, backend, SDK, and AI engineers who aren’t looking.
• Understand candidates' motivations and create a strategy to get them there.
• Build pipelines for repeat roles so new reqs don’t start from zero.
• Run an honest, candidate-centric process from first touch to offer.
• Help build systems the Talent team relies on, from sourcing playbooks to interview kits.
