Job summary

Gray Swan AI is seeking a Senior Technical Recruiter to own recruiting across its technical organization, spanning Software Engineering, Infrastructure, AI/ML, Security, Research, and more. You will be a strategic partner and hands-on recruiter, building pipelines, screening, and closing exceptional engineers.

You’ll work with engineering leadership to define profiles, market maps, and hiring strategies, coordinating across high-priority searches while delivering an outstanding candidate

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with significant technical recruiting.
• Experience recruiting software engineers and other highly technical candidates.
• Experience in high-growth startups, ideally early-stage or pre-IPO.
• Experience partnering with engineering leaders, executives, and hiring managers.
• Strong sourcing instincts and ability to identify exceptional engineers beyond obvious pools.
• Ability to source, assess, calibrate, and sell candidates without being an engineer.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle technical recruiting from role definition to close.
• Partner with engineering leadership as a trusted talent advisor and calibrate profiles.
• Recruit across Software Engineering, Infrastructure, AI/ML, Security, Research, and technical roles.
• Build exceptional passive talent pipelines through sourcing, outreach, and referrals.
• Develop understanding of technical markets and identify candidates who may not be actively looking.
• Recruit and close highly sought-after technical candidates with compelling pitches.
• Coach hiring teams on profiles, interview processes, and calibration.
• Improve technical interview design, scorecards, calibration, and debriefs with leaders.
• Use data to track pipeline health, conversion, sourcing impact, time-to-fill, offers.
