Job summary

Mercor is hiring a Technical Recruiter to own full-cycle hiring for software, ML, research, infrastructure, security, and leadership roles. You will partner with engineering leadership to plan headcount, define outcomes, and raise the hiring bar while building a robust talent pipeline and a strong candidate experience.

You will source, assess, and close passive high-bar candidates, design predictive assessments, and coach managers on structured interviewing.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience.
• Deep familiarity with SWE, MLE, Research, Applied AI, Security, Infrastructure and TLM roles.
• Proven track record sourcing and closing passive high-bar IC and leadership candidates.
• Ability to build and scale hiring systems with data-driven decisions.
• Fluency with structured interviewing and recruiting analytics.
• Strong communication skills with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle recruiting across software, ML, research, infrastructure, security, and leadership roles.
• Partner with VP of Engineering, CTO, and Engineering Managers to define headcount plans and hiring bar.
• Build top-of-funnel via passive outreach, referrals, events, and Mercor product-based screens and rubrics.
• Source and close high-bar candidates; lead with compelling narrative and negotiate offers aligned to leveling and market data.
• Design assessments predicting on-the-job performance and calibrate rubrics.
• Coach hiring managers on structured interviewing, leveling, and decision hygiene.
• Operate hiring systems; track pass-through, time-in-stage, yield; report metrics weekly and quarterly.
• Drive SLA for same-day debriefs and fast offers; maintain strong candidate experience.
• Maintain a bench of high-potential talent for critical roles; build Mercor brand with campaigns and events.
• Collaborate on dashboards, metrics, and automation in Ashby and other systems.
