Solidus Technical Solutions, LLC seeks aSenior Technical Recruiter experienced in cleared talent for the defense sector. This 1099, fully remote role requires US citizenship and eligibility for a Secret clearance, plus strong sourcing, screening, and communication skills.

You will write job descriptions and candidate emails, update resumes to client specs, source engineering candidates, interview by phone or video, and help negotiate offers.

Job description

We are looking to establish a working partnership with a Senior Technical Recruiter who is experienced at finding cleared talent within the competitive defense industry. This is a 1099 position. The right candidate will possess an strong understanding of finding cleared talent for technical and scientific roles, modern sourcing strategies, fostering strong relationships, and valuing the importance of diversity in hiring practices.

This role is fully remote. Candidate must have extensive experience sourcing cleared talent

Clearance Requirements

• US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Day in the Life

• Write job descriptions, engaging emails to candidates, and other correspondence as needed.
• Update resumes to meet client specific requirements.
• Source and screen potential candidates for defense related engineering positions using industry-leading recruiting tools.
• Must be confident in seeking talent for hard-to-source positions.
• Conduct prospective interviews via phone/video to qualify candidates for open positions.
• Negotiate salaries and support the offer creation process.
• Build relationships with top candidates to create a pipeline of qualified resources for future hiring needs.

Key Qualifications & Skills

• US Citizen and working from within the US
• Bachelor or Associate Degree in Business Management, Marketing, Business Communications, or Information Technology, or comparable military experience.
• An understanding of technology, including the ability to digest, understand, and discuss technical skill set requirements.
• 3-5 years of experience in a Recruiter role specific to the defense industry.
• Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
• Excellent organizational, oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills with a strong phone presence.
• Ability to troubleshoot, solve problems, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• An energetic self-starter with the capacity to work independently and to self-motivate.
• Ability to adapt and learn new desktop applications rapidly.
• MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

Preferred

• Familiarity with social media platforms and virtual job fair strategies for recruitment.
• Experience sourcing and screening top engineers using industry-leading recruiting tools and social media platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Clearance Jobs, Dice, etc.

The wage for this position will be between $40-$50 per hour, commensurate with experience.
