This description represents a prospective position. Applications will populate our active talent pipeline for ongoing and upcoming delivery order requests supporting the IAC MAC modernization enterprise in Albuquerque, NM.
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Program Security Specialistto join our team in support of mission-critical defense programs. You will play a key role in performing awide range of functions to ensure the protection of government-sensitive and classified information.
Day in the Life:
- Perform a wide range of day-to-day security functions to ensure the protection of company and government sensitive and classified information in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility(SCIF).
- Work without considerable direction, with some guidance from the Special Security Office(SSO), Facility Security Officer(FSO), and Contractor Special Security Officer(CSSO)in implementing security procedures to enable military, contractors, government civilians,and othertenants to support critical missions.
- Apply specific functional, working, and generalexpertisein multiple security fields, including personnel security, document control, visitor control, physical security, classification management, andprimeand subcontract DD Form 254 administration.
- Interact with government security officials, clients, and employees to perform security duties, includingclearanceprocessing, personnel security record management, adverse reports, administrative inquiries, suspicious contact reports, visitcertifications, and document control, and support industrial security efforts as needed.
- Provide security advice, guidance, and recommendations to all levels of staff, and coordinate and conduct security briefings, debriefings, and Security Awareness Training and Education(SATE)sessions.
- Ensure the security program is compliant with DoD security requirements and prepare for and participate in security compliance audits and vulnerability assessments.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Experiencebeing read into and supporting SAP programs
- Experiencewith securitypolicyand manuals, and ICDs, JFANs, DoD,and guidingpolicydocuments
- Experienceworking with Special Access Program(SAP)information and with SIC or JADE account look ups and creations, submitting SAP nominations for program access, and SAP security education implementation and annual reporting
- Experienceworking in a fast-paced team environment
- Experiencedirecting the activities of security specialists
- Experienceworking Security Classification Guides and classification reviews
- Experiencewith physical security, such as Co-Use Agreements and Compartmented Area Checklists
- Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
- Bachelors degree and 4+ years of experience supporting daily Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) activities for the DoD, or 8+ years of experience supporting daily Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) activities for the DoD in lieu of a degree
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Experienceusing Microsoft Officesoftware applications
- Ability toprovide constructive, tactful, and discrete security advice and guidance to personnel across all levels, including senior managers, peers, subordinates, and customers
- Possessionofexcellent written and verbal communication skills
- DoD Security Professional Education Development(SPeD)IAW DoD Manual 3305.13M Certification
- Active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
