We are looking for a hands-on Technical Project Manager to manage and support projects across network infrastructure, servers, VoIP/Asterisk systems, software applications, and databases.
This person will be responsible for keeping technical work organized, managing priorities and timelines, coordinating with engineers and vendors, and helping resolve issues that affect project delivery. The role requires someone who understands the technology and is comfortable getting involved in troubleshooting and implementation when needed.
The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, can manage multiple priorities, and is willing to work directly with the team rather than only managing schedules and providing status updates.
Key Responsibilities

- Develop project plans, track deadlines and milestones, and keep tasks and dependencies organized.
- Maintain Excel trackers and project documentation to monitor progress, open issues, and upcoming activities.
- Work with engineers, developers, and vendors to coordinate technical work and keep projects moving.
- Identify delays, risks, and technical issues that could affect timelines, and follow up with the right people to resolve them.
- Coordinate system installations, upgrades, configuration changes, integrations, and testing.
- Keep stakeholders informed about progress, outstanding issues, and any changes to the schedule.
- Get involved in technical troubleshooting and implementation when needed.
Network and Connectivity
- Troubleshoot network issues between offices, including packet loss, call latency, network congestion, and VPN connectivity.
- Investigate VoIP traffic and SIP issues involving carriers and third-party vendors.
- Configure and troubleshoot routes between the Irvine data center, Dubai office, dialer systems, and external vendors.
- Review network traffic and packet captures to identify communication issues between servers and external systems.
- Work with the Asterisk Engineer to resolve call-quality and connectivity problems.
Servers and IT Infrastructure
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux servers.
- Handle server updates, hardware issues, RAID drive replacements, and new server installations.
- Create and maintain Docker containers and make changes as needed.
- Manage VMware ESXi configurations and virtual machines.
- Support Veeam backup changes and restoration activities.
- Maintain and troubleshoot Microsoft Exchange Server.
- Work on server repairs and infrastructure changes at the Irvine data center.
Asterisk and VoIP
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Asterisk systems.
- Modify SIP settings and headers and investigate call failures using SIP traces and packet captures.
- Create and update dialplans and troubleshoot call-routing issues.
- Create and modify Asterisk AMI and AGI integrations.
- Investigate TCP/UDP traffic and communication issues between servers, carriers, and vendors.
- Work with software developers to ensure applications connecting to Asterisk are working properly.
Software Development and Integrations
- Develop or modify applications that connect with Asterisk AMI and AGI.
- Build and maintain web APIs for secure database access and data exchange between offices and data centers.
- Make changes to client-server applications, including new call queues and existing functionality.
- Support integrations with third-party vendors, including AI-based calling solutions.
- Work with infrastructure, telephony, and database teams to troubleshoot application and integration issues.
Programming languages:
- Golang, PHP, C/C++, and Delphi/Pascal.
Database Management
- Create, modify, and troubleshoot SQL queries and stored procedures in Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL.
- Create and maintain tables, views, and stored procedures used by applications, Asterisk, and web APIs.
- Work with developers on database changes and application integrations.
- Review call records and database tables to investigate call-flow issues and missing or incorrect data.
- Coordinate with the Asterisk Engineer to ensure call information is recorded and updated correctly.
- Perform database maintenance and troubleshoot data-related issues.
Required Skills and Experience
- Experience managing technical projects in an IT or telecommunications environment.
- Hands-on technical experience with infrastructure, networking, VoIP, software development, or databases.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical problems and work directly with engineers and developers.
- Experience managing project timelines, priorities, dependencies, and open issues.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work across multiple technical areas and manage changing priorities.
Experience with Asterisk, SIP, Windows and Linux servers, Docker, VMware ESXi, Veeam, SQL Server, MySQL, APIs, and one or more of the listed programming languages is valuable.
