Job summary

University of Texas Dell Medical School is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of cross-functional tech initiatives within the enterprise HR Transformation centered on Workday.

You will partner with IT, clinical informatics, business analysts, and operational leaders to ensure projects are on time, within scope, and compliant with HIPAA, HITECH, and security policies, including go-live and post-implementation support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required in IT, CS, business administration, or related field.
• Minimum of three years managing technical projects in healthcare or enterprise IT.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing budgets and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Manages full technical project lifecycle.
• Defines scope, objectives and deliverables.
• Develops and maintains technical project plans and schedules.
• Tracks progress and updates plans as needed.
• Facilitates project meetings and status updates.
• Supports go-live activities and post-implementation support.
• Coordinates system configuration, integration, and testing.
• Partners with vendors and internal teams on deliverables.
• Monitors budget and resource allocation.
• Ensures compliance with cybersecurity and data governance.
• Ensures HIPAA and HITECH compliance and audits.
