Job summary

York Space Systems is seeking a Senior Technical Project Engineer to drive detailed planning across engineering activities and to support principal engineers in delivering multiple customer programs and R&D projects. You will champion risk management, continuous improvement, and cross‑functional collaboration to ensure on‑time, on‑budget outcomes.

This role is on-site at our Greenwood Village, CO office and an offsite facility in Aurora, CO, with frequent coordination with program managers,

Qualifications

• 4-8 years in project engineering, systems engineering, or program management.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering.
• PMP, ACMP certification or the desire to gain one.
• Demonstrates self-initiated work in a team environment with strong leadership skills.
• TS/SCI clearance required.
• Experience managing cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and Drive: Build and manage clear, realistic engineering schedules that keep customer programs and R&D efforts moving forward with purpose and precision.
• Champion Disruption: Look for better ways of doing things, question outdated processes, and help introduce approaches that speed up execution and strengthen technical outcomes.
• Amplify Impact: Contribute within small, fast‑moving teams where your work is immediately felt and your ideas genuinely shape how we deliver spacecraft systems.
• Own Outcomes: Take responsibility for identifying risks, securing the right resources, and ensuring programs stay on track from kickoff through delivery.
• Forge Partnerships: Build trust across engineering, leadership, and operations by communicating openly and collaborating effectively.
