Job summary

York Space Systems seeks a Mission Lead Systems Engineer in Greenwood Village, CO to guide space vehicle missions from concept through verification. You will lead system design/integration, ensure requirements are met, and coordinate with partners and internal teams to maintain mission execution.

Ideal candidates have 5–15 years as a systems engineer, strong leadership, and an ability to communicate with external customers while navigating the SE V‑cycle.

Qualifications

• BS in Systems Engineering or related technical field is required.
• 5–15 years of experience as a systems engineer or similar role.
• Proven project leadership experience and customer interaction.
• Understanding of the SE V‑cycle and its application to programs.
• Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance and work in Colorado.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and execute a space systems design/integration program.
• Lead technical execution of a satellite program.
• Ensure mission requirements are met and verified.
• Interface with mission partners and lead meetings.
• Work with interdisciplinary teams to assure program success.
• Resolve blockers and communicate needs for mission execution.
