Oportun is seeking a Staff Technical Program Manager to drive complex technical programs across the Engineering Ecosystem. This remote-US role focuses on establishing clear roadmaps, automating information flow, and delivering high-impact initiatives with cross-functional teams.

You bring 8+ years in technical program management, a strong technical background, and a track record of delivering on time and within budget. Advanced degrees are a plus, Agile experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in technical program management for large-scale programs.
• Proven track record delivering technical programs on time and within budget.
• Strong technical background and deep understanding of software development processes.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement in program management processes and practices.
• Lead and manage multiple complex technical programs from inception through delivery.
• Partner with engineering, product, marketing, legal, compliance, security, risk, and operations to define goals and execution plans.
• Develop detailed program plans, schedules, and roadmaps aligned to business objectives.
• Own and improve information-flow pipelines to reduce friction and automate manual toil.
• Identify and mitigate program risks and dependencies, driving timely resolutions.
• Communicate program status, progress, decisions, and challenges to stakeholders at all levels.
• Mentor junior program managers and share knowledge and best practices.
