Job summary

Google seeks a Senior Technical Program Manager for Creative Technology in Marketing. You will own outcomes, plan requirements, identify risks, and manage schedules across product, engineering, and creative teams.

You will translate technical tradeoffs for executives and engineers, driving complex programs from start to finish. Experience with events and brand experiences is valued.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience in AI/ML model deployment lifecycles and associated resource requirements (latency, cost, availability).
  • Experience producing technical interactive experiences for in-person or web events.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the technical lifecycle of projects from prototype to production. Identify, design, and implement scalable technical launch systems and processes (e.g., security, privacy, quota management) to reduce friction and accelerate innovation.
  • Build and maintain relationships with product and engineering teams to secure early access to unreleased products and models. Manage cloud projects, compute quotas (TPUs/GPUs), billing, and permissions for internal teams and external agencies.
  • Drive fast-paced creative initiatives with timelines measured in weeks. Identify risks, remove roadblocks, and pivot quickly to adapt to changing model capabilities and limitations.
  • Partner with creative technologists during the ideation phase to assess production implications, including costs, access, and scalability.
  • Build and lead effective cross-functional program teams, aligning executive stakeholders on technical priorities, resource needs, and de-risking strategies for unreleased AI products.

Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred qualifications:
  • 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex internal engineering ecosystems, including cloud infrastructure, capacity planning, and security/privacy compliance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to build consensus across cross-functional teams (Legal, Product, Engineering, Creative).
  • Comfortable working in high-intensity environments with rapidly evolving technologies and short turnaround times.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $192000 - $278000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits
