Job summary

Google is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager I to lead AI Programs and Core Systems initiatives from start to finish. You will partner with Context and Understanding and DeepMind teams to drive data strategy, roadmaps, and high-impact programs, collaborating with executives and engineers to balance tradeoffs.

In this role, you’ll influence outcomes, manage complex schedules, and articulate technical decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences, contributing to company-wide

  • 8 years of program management experience.
  • Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC).

  • Strong ability to understand complex technical concepts and communicate them clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong technical aptitude to define requirements to track delivery, data utility and support data infrastructure demands.
  • Strategic thinking, negotiation, and communication skills, with proven experience partnering with and advising executive leadership.

  • Managecross-product area programs of high complexity, high risk, and scope and critical customer landscape.
  • Drive technical products launch predictably and within defined success criteria. Shape the overall direction of technical programs, ensuring alignment with long-term business objectives and company goals.
  • Foster strong strategic partnerships with leadership, engineering, and product managers to ensure initiatives align with overall engineering and product priorities. Execute and communicate program status to various audiences, including cross-functional and executive leadership.
  • Introduce tooling, automation and process efficiencies; provide comprehensive support to teams, enabling them to execute with high degree of fidelity and efficacy.
  • Establish new programs or transform existing programs through continuous improvement. Serve as a thought leader, advocating new ideas, methodologies, and best practices in program management.
