Our technical program manager bridges the gap between technical teams and business objectives, ensuring the seamless delivery of complex software solutions. By managing cross-functional projects and coordinating efforts between engineering, product, and stakeholder teams, our program managers ensure that technical requirements are met while aligning with strategic goals. Their role involves defining project scope, setting realistic timelines, and mitigating risks, which is vital for maintaining high standards of product quality and meeting customer expectations. Excited about driving efficiency and fostering collaboration to innovate, scale, and stay competitive in the market? This is the role for you.

A DAY IN THE LIFE:

  • Attend an engineering delivery team stand-up with product, engineering, and QA to ensure that a critical feature for an upcoming product launch is on track.
  • Attend the release planning meeting to gain a comprehensive understanding of the upcoming and subsequent releases.
  • Organize and lead a meeting with product leaders to prepare for an upcoming stakeholder meeting, ensuring that demos, documentation, and pricing for new features are ready.
  • Revise the product delivery plan to accommodate some new, unforeseen scope, and negotiate with stakeholders to determine which initiatives should be scaled back due to this new scope. Ensure any client-facing roadmaps are updated accordingly.
  • Propose and present the upcoming quarterly plan to the executive team for feedback, and provide an update on how the product and engineering teams are progressing toward their goals halfway through the quarter.
  • Participate in the weekly check-in with the VP of Engineering and Head of QA to review the progress of automating our regression test suite, with the goal of enabling more frequent company releases.
  • Monitor the test case execution dashboard for the upcoming release to determine if any contingency plans are needed in case the release date is delayed.
  • Develop a recommendation for implementing a best practice that will significantly enhance the overall software development lifecycle (SDLC) and improve our feature delivery process.
  • 1-1 with the chief product officer and chief technology officer outlining goals for next week and outlining key risks to anything in our delivery plan.
