Job description

Senior Technical Program Manager
Who We Are

Bidgely (which means "electricity" in Hindi) is a Vertical AI company built for the utility industry, delivering appliance-level intelligence for every customer, grid asset, and hour of the year through our UtilityAI Platform. We're accelerating a clean energy future by giving utilities and their customers the ability to make smarter, data-driven energy decisions.

Bidgely's platform is connected to 38M+ meters across 45+ utility deployments and is backed by over 20 patents. Our approach combines patented disaggregation science, generative AI for natural-language insight, and agentic AI for autonomous operations — giving utilities a level of individual-customer intelligence and grid insights that horizontal AI and legacy analytics platforms can't match.

Bidgely has been named #7 in Applied AI on Fast Company's list of Most Innovative Companies in the World and recognized as a Utility Analytics Leader by Guidehouse.

What We Do

Powered by our unique patented technology, Bidgely's UtilityAI Platform transforms multiple dimensions of utility data — such as energy consumption, demographics, and customer interactions — into deeply accurate and actionable consumer energy insights. We leverage these insights to empower each customer with personalized recommendations tailored to their individual personality and lifestyle, usage attributes, behavioral patterns, purchase propensity and beyond.

The same technology that powers Bidgely's customer suite also enables a set of powerful grid applications. From a distributed energy resources (DER) and grid edge perspective, Bidgely is accelerating utility innovation with data-driven solutions for solar PVs, electric vehicle (EV) detection, EV behavioral load shifting and managed charging, load forecasting, grid analytics, and rate designs. Bidgely's UtilityAI energy analytics platform provides deep visibility into generation and consumption for better peak load shaping and grid planning and delivers targeted recommendations for new value-added products and services.

How You Fit In

The Senior Technical Program Manager (STPM) owns Bidgely's largest and most technically and commercially complex utility engagements, combining the roles of technical consultant, functional consultant, and project manager. The STPM also acts as a delivery and practice leader for the broader Customer Onboarding team. The STPM works closely with a dedicated delivery team on the technical build, with R&D and Product Management on platform direction, and with Systems Integrator partners on multi-party engagements — while owning the customer relationship, executive stakeholder management, and program outcomes. The STPM reports into the Director, Customer Onboarding and is part of Bidgely's Customer Onboarding team.

Core responsibilities span the following areas:

Project Management

  • Be the face of Bidgely for the customer during the implementation phase, owning the relationship, and being an advocate for them internally

  • Manage Bidgely's largest and most complex utility implementations end to end from Onboarding to Launch, leading cross-functional teams across Delivery, Engineering, Product, and Sales

  • Oversee project financials — including cost tracking, budget, and margin — for assigned engagements

  • Contribute to contract reviews for new deals and change orders

  • Represent the Onboarding team in sales presentations as needed

  • Develop and apply a deep understanding of energy markets and customer behaviors to help Bidgely customers take full advantage of the technology

Technology Implementation

  • Own the overall solution design and development for Bidgely's most complex utility customers, working with our global engineering team — including requirement analysis, customer journey scope discussion, data integration, design, solution architecture, implementation, delivery, and customer-facing technical issue resolution

  • Be the product expert who collaborates with utility customers to understand requirements, map them to product features, and finalize product customizations and changes

  • Manage project deliverables, ensuring on-time, high-quality delivery through a hands-on approach

  • Produce technical and product documents that clearly define customer requirements and solution design in collaboration with the customer's IT and business teams

  • Partner with Bidgely R&D and Product Management to design new platform functionality and implementation tooling, informed by patterns observed across the most complex customer implementations

Practice Leadership

  • Mentor and provide delivery and technical guidance to colleagues

  • Own executive-level customer relationships for high-visibility engagements

  • Develop proposals and statements of work for new and expanding engagements

  • Identify and help scope account expansion opportunities during delivery

  • Represent Customer Onboarding in quarterly business reviews (QBRs)

  • Work with Systems Integrator (SI) partners to plan and execute complex, multi-party implementations

  • Train Bidgely, SI, and customer teams on Bidgely's project methodology and product capabilities

  • Develop internal tools and processes that improve delivery quality and reduce implementation timelines

  • Support hiring and interviewing for the broader TPM team
