EMPLOYER: Optum Services Inc.

JOB TITLE: Senior Technical Product Manager

LOCATION: 1 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie, MN 55344 (Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.)

DUTIES:

1. Designs, develops, and manages activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production, release, and end of life.
2. Responsible for the full product lifecycle management, including strategy, design, development, management, and end of life of products.
3. Leverage market insights to understand customer needs and emerging technology trends to identify new opportunities or adjust current offerings.
4. Balance expertise in the product, business use cases, and technical aptitude.
5. Deliver product performance against expectations and update the product portfolio to improve competitiveness and meet market needs.
6. Own or be accountable for the P&L.
7. Manage cross-functional stakeholders, including design, engineering, scrum teams, and business leaders, as a technical expert familiar with development concepts and practices.

REQUIREMENTS:

Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or a related field plus five (5) years of progressive experience in a related computer occupation.

Required experience includes:

1. Writing and presenting business cases with stakeholder teams.
2. Creating roadmaps, identifying dependencies, aligning timelines, and performing cost-benefit analyses.
3. Developing products and planning resources for timely delivery.
4. Configuring applications with business rules/logic.
5. Evaluating technical requirements and preparing specifications.
6. Researching technical processes and systems.
7. Configuring SFTP setups for data exchange.
8. Extracting reports using SQL queries.
9. Designing data models supporting new initiatives.
10. Analyzing data for accuracy and gaps, and correcting SQL conditions.
11. Handling data exchange formats like JSON, XML, EDI 270/274/278.
12. Testing APIs (SOAP, REST, GraphQL) and creating data mappings.
13. Creating efficiencies and reducing costs.
14. Reviewing security scans for vulnerabilities.
15. Delivering presentations and working with UX teams.
16. Defining features and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
17. Documenting impact analysis, process flows, and technical details.
18. Developing business logic and metrics for decision support.

RATE OF PAY:

$118,477 - $168,408 per year
