Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Senior Technical Business Developer in Reading, MA to own end-to-end capital equipment sourcing, RFQ/RFP execution, and supplier management. You will lead complex negotiations with OEMs and service providers, develop sourcing frameworks, and mentor procurement teams to ensure on-time delivery and cost optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years in supply chain management, strategic sourcing, or procurement in an industrial automation or similar technical environment.
• Experience managing CAPEX procurement programs and vendor portfolios for complex environments, including equipment, automation, and tooling.
• Experience leading contract negotiations with OEMs, equipment manufacturers, or construction contractors for agreements of significant value.
• Experience developing sourcing strategies, procurement frameworks, or standard operating procedures.
• Technical background or demonstrated experience in automation or new product introduction.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end capital equipment sourcing across multiple portfolios, including supplier identification, market analysis, RFQ/RFP execution, cost modeling, and award decisions.
• Develop and implement sourcing approaches that optimize cost efficiency while advancing technical capabilities.
• Lead complex negotiations with OEMs, equipment manufacturers, and service providers, structuring commercial agreements and managing the full contract lifecycle.
• Develop sourcing frameworks and SOPs that scale, mentoring sourcing managers and buyers.
• Establish and manage supplier performance programs, scorecards, SLAs, and supplier reviews.
• Support material planning, inventory strategy, and spare parts availability; drive cost optimization initiatives.
• Align equipment procurement timelines with site milestones across cross-functional teams.
