Zusammenfassung

OpenMined seeks a Senior Technical Program Manager to own planning, tracking, and delivery across product, engineering, research, and partnerships. You will set milestones, manage dependencies, and keep roadmaps current in a fast‑moving AI‑native environment.

You will partner with engineers and researchers to translate goals into dated plans, integrate AI tooling into project workflows, and guide leadership on options when dates slip. This is a fully remote US role aligned to Eastern Time.

Qualifikationen

• 7+ years of technical project or program management delivering complex software with product and engineering teams.
• Built or rebuilt a project management practice with planning cadences, tooling, and standards.
• Shaped project management for AI-native teams working with AI coding agents and evolving workflows.
• Uses AI in their PM work daily: AI agents, automations, or workflows for status reporting and planning.
• Delivered under continuous shipping and technical uncertainty in R&D, ML/AI, infrastructure, or developer platforms.
• Technical foundation: CS degree or 3+ years as a software engineer; ability to read code and architecture docs.
• Deep, hands-on use of engineering trackers such as Linear, Jira, GitHub; designed team workflows.
• Clear, concise communication to engineers, executives, and funders.

Aufgaben

• Own delivery end to end for OpenMined's flagship initiatives with milestones and release dates.
• Design, run, and improve the AI-native project management practice with planning, tracking, and status reporting.
• Build AI into how we manage projects using AI agents and automations.
• Raise team PM maturity by setting standards, templates, and coaching leads.
• Translate quarterly OKRs into dated, sequenced plans with product and engineering leads.
• Maintain a living product roadmap aligned with research results and priorities.
• Own cross‑team dependencies and chase blockers before slips.
• Manage PM tooling (Linear, Asana) with conventions and visibility.
• Link code activity to plans by connecting GitHub, Linear issues, and PRs.
• Track milestones, cycle time, and OKR key results; flag risks early with trade-offs.
• Coordinate external deliverables like partner pilots and grant milestones.
