Responsibilities
- Serve as a senior technical leader delivering electrical engineering design for large‑scale industrial projects (e.g., advanced manufacturing, food & beverage, mission‑critical facilities).
- Lead the design and oversight of electrical systems including: power distribution and generation systems, emergency and backup systems, lighting and life safety systems, and industrial controls and infrastructure systems.
- Provide technical direction and quality oversight for multi-disciplinary project teams across the Industrial CoE.
- Act as a client‑facing leader, developing and maintaining strong relationships and supporting business development efforts.
- Lead and contribute to proposal development, scope definition, and project planning.
- Oversee project delivery, including budgets, schedules, and coordination across engineering disciplines.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, IEEE, etc.) and WSP quality expectations.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff to support career growth and technical excellence.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives within the Industrial CoE.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 10+ years of experience in electrical design for industrial, manufacturing, or large‑scale commercial/mission‑critical facilities.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, codes, and industry standards.
- Experience with client engagement and business development strategies.
- Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Industrial or Manufacturing Center of Excellence models.
- Familiarity with SCADA systems, automation, and industrial controls.
- Proficiency with Revit, BIM, and advanced design tools.
- Multi‑office or national project experience.
- Previous experience mentoring or leading technical teams.

Compensation
Expected Salary: $119,600 – $187,000
