Job summary

Cpl Life Sciences is assisting a client in seeking a Senior Technical Lead - Veeva Vault RIM to guide complex data and document migration programmes for pharmaceutical and biotech clients across the US and globally. You will own the technical delivery from design through go-live.

The role requires deep hands-on Veeva Vault RIM migration experience, strong leadership of onshore and offshore teams, and the ability to translate regulatory requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years delivering complex data and/or document migrations.
• 3+ years in a Technical Lead or Solution Architect role.
• Hands-on experience with Veeva Vault RIM migrations.
• Experience in Life Sciences consultancy or Veeva partner desirable.
• Experience across multiple pharma/biotech/Life Sciences clients.

Job description

My client is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Lead - Veeva Vault RIM to lead complex data and document migration programmes for pharmaceutical and biotech clients across the US and globally.

This is a senior consulting position requiring deep hands-on experience delivering migrations into Veeva Vault RIM, combined with the ability to lead technical teams, advise clients and take ownership of technical delivery from initial solution design through migration, validation and go-live.

You will work directly with senior Regulatory, IT and Quality stakeholders, translating complex business and regulatory requirements into scalable technical solutions and leading global delivery teams across onshore and offshore environments.

The successful candidate will have significant experience working within a Life Sciences consultancy or professional services environment, with exposure to multiple client programmes and the confidence to operate as a trusted technical advisor.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end data and document migrations into Veeva Vault RIM.
• Own technical delivery across migration strategy, architecture, mapping, transformation, loading, reconciliation, testing and cutover.
• Provide technical leadership across complex legacy-to-Veeva migration programmes.
• Ensure migration solutions meet regulatory, validation and data-quality requirements.

Solution Architecture & Technical Delivery

• Translate client requirements into robust and scalable technical solutions.
• Provide technical direction across solution design, migration frameworks, integrations, scripting and documentation.
• Maintain technical quality and consistency throughout the full project lifecycle.
• Identify technical risks, dependencies and potential delivery challenges early.

Client Consulting & Stakeholder Management

• Act as the senior technical interface between clients and delivery teams.
• Lead technical workshops with Regulatory, IT, Quality and business stakeholders.
• Advise clients on migration strategy, technical approach and Veeva best practices.
• Clearly communicate technical decisions, risks and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Technical & Global Team Leadership

• Lead multidisciplinary teams of Technical Consultants, Developers and Migration Specialists.
• Coordinate delivery across onshore and offshore teams.
• Provide technical mentoring, quality oversight and escalation support.
• Work closely with Project Managers and Business Analysts to ensure successful programme delivery.

Validation & Quality

• Ensure solutions comply with GxP, validation and Life Sciences regulatory requirements.
• Partner with QA and validation teams on test strategies, documentation and issue resolution.
• Maintain appropriate technical and migration documentation throughout delivery.
• Support client discovery, solution design and technical scoping for new opportunities.
• Contribute to proposals, Statements of Work, estimates and resource planning.
• Participate in client presentations and technical discussions during the sales process.
• Contribute to internal best practices, migration methodologies and thought leadership.

Required Experience

• 8+ years' experience delivering complex data and/or document migration programmes.
• 3+ years in a Technical Lead, Solution Architect or equivalent leadership position.
• Strong hands-on experience with Veeva Vault RIM data and document migrations.
• Previous experience working within a Life Sciences consultancy, professional services organisation or Veeva implementation partner is highly desirable.
• Proven experience delivering projects across multiple pharmaceutical, biotech or Life Sciences clients.
• Strong understanding of Veeva Vault RIM architecture and regulatory information management processes.
• Experience with SQL, XML, scripting and migration/integration technologies.
• Experience migrating data from legacy and on-premise platforms into cloud-based environments.
• Strong knowledge of GxP, computer system validation and regulated Life Sciences environments.
• Experience leading geographically distributed and offshore technical teams.
• Excellent client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.
