Job summary

Visa is seeking a hands-on technical leader to guide the Acceptance Platform teams, shaping architecture for event-driven, secure, cloud-native payment processing at scale. You will mentor engineers, drive production readiness, and align with product, security, and operations goals.

The role spans architecture reviews, performance tuning, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver observable, resilient platform capabilities for reconciliation, reporting, and lifecycle management.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 7 years of work experience with an Advanced degree, OR 13+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience designing and leading distributed systems for high-volume payments.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction across architecture, design, integration, implementation, scalability, resilience, security, and operational readiness.
• Lead design for event correlation, transaction matching, settlement state management, and high-throughput data movement.
• Mentor senior engineers and present to executive leaders on tradeoffs and risks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure production readiness and observability.
