Job summary

Visa is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineering Leader to guide engineers across Open VisaNet, Visa's next-generation payment processing platform. You will champion cloud-native architectures, CI/CD, automation, and security practices while delivering scalable, fault-tolerant systems in production.

You will mentor teams, drive DevSecOps maturity, and partner with security, operations and software engineering to improve reliability and developer productivity.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant software engineering leadership.
• 3 years of experience directly managing software engineers, including hiring, coaching, performance development, and leading geographically distributed teams.
• 8 years of demonstrated experience providing technical leadership for cloud-native platforms, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, reliability engineering, or security-focused engineering initiatives while leading engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight to a team of software engineers building solutions at scale with high engineering, quality standards & security.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to understand business problems and design required solutions.
• Provide technical thought leadership towards solving problems for the team.
• Drive adoption of key engineering best practices to improve quality and reliability of deliverables.
• Coach, manage & mentor direct reports and develop talent.
• Develop and nurture team by mentoring and hiring critical talent.
• Design, develop and evolve highly scalable and fault-tolerant distributed components using DevSecOps principles.
• Promote GenAI adoption for developer productivity with relevant metrics and automation rails.
• Improve DevSecOps maturity in tools and processes and measure them using metrics.
• Design and build automated code deployment systems with CI/CD pipelines and workflows.
• Lead productivity projects in automation, CI/CD, and release engineering.
• Champion application and infrastructure security efforts and collaborate with security teams.
• Work with Operations & Infrastructure for cross-functional development activities.
• Ensure stability and high availability of production and lower environments.
• Design and implement APIs and integration patterns to solve CI/CD challenges.
• Deploy code and proactive maintenance to keep services running.
