Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an experienced Technical Lead Engineer to provide deep technical leadership across multiple teams and drive the design and execution of complex engineering initiatives. The role requires influencing architecture, mentoring engineers, and delivering on ambitious roadmaps while maintaining high code quality and operational rigor.

The position is 100% remote (U.S.), full-time Direct W2, with a salary range of $100,000–$150,000 annually and sponsorship

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Eight or more years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven track record of leading complex, cross-team engineering initiatives.
• Deep expertise in distributed systems, cloud platforms, or large-scale data systems.
• Strong programming skills in at least one major backend language.
• Excellent system-design and architecture skills.
• Demonstrated mentorship and technical leadership of senior engineers.
• Strong understanding of operational excellence, reliability, and observability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Track record of influencing engineering culture and standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of large, cross-team engineering initiatives.
• Develop architectural standards and reference patterns adopted across teams.
• Mentor senior engineers and influence the technical direction of the organization.
• Lead architectural reviews and decision-making for high-impact initiatives with clear trade-offs.
• Translate long-term goals into concrete engineering plans.
• Improve reliability, scalability, and performance of critical platforms.
• Lead production incident response and post-incident learning.
• Partner with managers, product, and executives on technical roadmaps.
• Set and uphold the engineering hiring bar through interviews and calibrations.
• Contribute hands-on code where most leveraged and tackle high-impact components.
• Drive engineering culture including code quality, documentation, and operational rigor.
• Represent engineering in cross-functional planning and roadmap discussions.
• Author and review RFCs, architecture records, and design documents.
