Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Eight or more years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven track record of leading complex, cross-team engineering initiatives.
• Deep expertise in at least one of distributed systems, cloud platforms, or large-scale data systems.
• Strong programming skills in at least one major backend language.
• Excellent system-design and architecture skills.
• Demonstrated mentorship and technical leadership of senior engineers.
• Strong understanding of operational excellence, reliability, and observability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Track record of influencing engineering culture and standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide deep technical leadership across multiple teams and drive architecture and cross-cutting engineering initiatives.
• Shape architecture, raise the engineering bar, and mentor junior engineers.
• Collaborate with product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to translate ambiguous requirements into well-engineered solutions.
• Lead through code review, design review, and scalable implementation practices.
