Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Staff Applications Engineer to provide deep technical leadership across multiple engineering teams and drive the design and execution of complex, cross-functional initiatives. This role focuses on defining technical strategy, shaping architecture, and delivering scalable software solutions in a cloud environment.

The position is 100% remote in the United States and is a full-time W2 role requiring 10+ years of experience in software engineering and strong

Qualifications

10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Experience leading large-scale cross-functional engineering initiatives.
Designing distributed systems and cloud-native applications.
Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and observability.

Responsibilities

Lead architecture and execution of cross-team engineering initiatives.
Define architectural standards and reusable design patterns.
Mentor senior engineers and influence engineering excellence.
Lead architecture reviews and technical design discussions.
Translate long-term strategy into executable roadmaps and technical initiatives.
Drive scalability, reliability, performance, security, and maintainability of critical systems.
Lead incident response for high-impact production issues and improve operations.
Collaborate with leadership, product management, and stakeholders on architecture decisions.
Establish best practices for software development, testing, CI/CD, and documentation.
Review code and contribute hands-on development where valuable.
