Job summary

HCLTech seeks an experienced SAP HCM Functional Consultant to design, implement, and support SAP HCM solutions aligned with business goals. The role requires strong functional knowledge, ability to create detailed specifications, and coordination with ABAP developers for enhancements.

Experience :7+ years Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced SAP HCM Functional Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAP HCM modules, including Personnel Administration (PA), Organizational Management (OM), Time Management, and Payroll. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders to design, implement, and support SAP HCM solutions that align with organizational objectives. Key Responsibilities :Requirement Gathering & Analysis:Collaborate with HR and business teams to understand requirements and translate them into SAP HCM solutions.Configuration & Customization:Configure SAP HCM modules (PA, OM, Time Management, Payroll) as per business needs.Implement enhancements and customizations using SAP best practices.Integration:Ensure seamless integration of SAP HCM with other SAP modules (FI/CO) and third-party systems.Testing & Documentation:Prepare functional specifications, test scripts, and conduct unit/integration testing.Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and resolve defects.Support & Maintenance:Provide Level 2/3 support for SAP HCM issues.Monitor system performance and implement fixes proactively.Training & Knowledge Transfer:Conduct end-user training sessions and prepare user manuals.Project Management:Participate in SAP HCM upgrade/migration projects and ensure timely delivery. Required Skills & Competencies :Strong functional knowledge of SAP HCM modules:Personnel Administration (PA)Organizational Management (OM)Time ManagementPayrollExperience in ESS/MSS and integration with SAP Portal.Understanding of HR processes and statutory compliance.Ability to write functional specifications and work with ABAP developers.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Additional Requirements :Experience in SAP HCM implementation and support projects.Knowledge of SuccessFactors or SAP HCM cloud solutions is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• 1. To be responsible for providing technical guidance to a team of developers, enhancing their technical capabilities and increasing productivity.
• 2. To conduct comprehensive code reviews, establish and oversee quality assurance processes, performance optimization , implementation of best practices and coding standards to ensure successful delivery of complex projects.
• 3. To ensure process compliance in the assigned module| and participate in technical discussions/review as a technical consultant for feasibility study (technical alternatives, best packages, supporting architecture best practices, technical risks, breakdown into components, estimations).
• 4. To collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables and accordingly prepare and submit status reports for minimizing exposure & closure of escalations.
