We are looking for a Masters degree qualified Chartered Mechanical Engineer to join our Estates team to help develop our expanding campus. Estates Services manages an exciting and diverse range of capital and revenue developments, with a current programme of around £50m. Your role will be key to defining and implementing changes to improve the safety, reliability, and functionality of our properties and other assets, ensuring safety is maintained at all times whilst providing effective and value-added systems of work. The role will deliver a large and varied range of works across the capital and revenue portfolio.
This role is based in the Directorate of Technology, Estates & Facilities (DTEF). Our department provides services and facilities to staff, students, and visitors. The Estates Development Team is responsible for campus ownership and development, supporting the wider DTEF team.
The Senior Technical Engineer Mechanical role provides strategic vision and technical expertise across the specified discipline. It offers advisory services to in-house staff and departments in various situations. The role involves maintaining and improving the University’s assets, ensuring safety, and delivering a wide range of works across the capital and revenue portfolio.
