Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Technical Editor and Writer Level 5 to join our Enterprise-wide digital transformation. You will craft and edit technical manuals, specifications, and procedures while interfacing with product developers and stakeholders across sites.

The role requires a Bachelor’s with substantial experience or a Master’s with relevant expertise, proficiency in Microsoft Office, andIllustrator, with a Secret clearance possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 12 years of experience or Master's Degree with 10 years of experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Experience with publishing software.
• Experience with vector graphic designing applications (Illustrator preferred).
• Ability to meet deadlines and quality standards.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Write and/or edit technical documents such as manuals, specifications, and related publications.
• Communicate clearly technical specifications to diverse audiences.
• Develop subject knowledge by interviewing product developers and reviewing specs.
• Lead documentation through process from inputs to final distribution.
• Lead preparation of illustrative materials with drawings and diagrams.
• Conduct quality review of materials.
• Develop new concepts, techniques, and standards.
• Present to stakeholders at reviews and conferences.
• Support implementation to a team of technical writers.
• Serve as lead consultant on major organizational matters.
• Develop agendas and capture minutes to assess impacts.
