Job summary

ICF is seeking a Technical Editor to provide editorial support across technical brochures, SOPs, reports, and summaries. You will distill complex data into clear narrative and graphics, ensuring accuracy and audience appropriateness.

The role requires 3–10 years editing experience, a Bachelor’s in a technical field, ability to obtain a government clearance, and collaboration with engineers and subject matter experts throughout the publication lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, or a related scientific or technical field.
• 3–10 years of professional experience in technical writing, editing, and proofreading of technical publications.
• Ability to obtain a government security clearance if required by contract.
• Testing will be a part of the interview process.

Responsibilities

• Provide editorial support on technical brochures, SOPs, reports, and other highly technical documents.
• Distill complex data into clear narrative and graphics for the target audience.
• Fact-check, adapt references, and ensure copyright compliance.
• Demonstrate line editing, copy editing, proofreading, and plain language.
