Job summary

AV is seeking a Technical Editor to support proposal development by reviewing and refining content for clarity, accuracy, consistency, and compliance. This role collaborates with proposal managers, writers, and subject matter experts to deliver persuasive, customer-focused materials aligned with solicitation standards.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree, 8+ years editing experience in DoD or technical settings, strong writing and editing skills, and proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Journalism, or related field.
• 8+ years of editing experience in DoD or technical environments.
• Strong editing, grammar and writing abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Word, PPT, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Excellent attention to detail and time management.

Responsibilities

• Edit and proofread proposal content for grammar, clarity, consistency, and compliance.
• Ensure materials adhere to solicitation instructions, evaluation criteria, and company style guides.
• Collaborate with proposal teams to improve structure, flow, and readability.
• Verify data accuracy, terminology consistency, and proper document formatting.
• Support color team reviews and integrate feedback into final versions.
• Maintain version control and ensure quality and consistency across all volumes.
