Job summary

G-III Apparel Group is seeking a Senior Technical Designer for Women’s Suits and Ready-to-Wear. Based in New York City, you will translate the design vision into manufacturable garments, lead fit sessions, and develop technical packages across multiple brands.

With 7+ years in technical design, you will manage pre-production from development to final approvals, coordinate with vendors and overseas offices, and ensure alignment with production timelines while maintaining design integrity.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Technical Design experience in woven dresses & blouses
• College degree or equivalent professional work experience required
• Proven expertise in apparel fitting, specs and patterns

Responsibilities

• Manage product lifecycle from showroom sample through pre-production fit approval.
• Oversee pre-production samples development meeting design specifications and quality standards.
• Develop comprehensive technical packages to final graded specifications and communicate corrections.
• Lead live fit sessions and provide grading guidelines to vendors after fit approval.
• Collaborate with Product Development, Design and Production to align fit and timelines.
