Job summary

FAM Brands is seeking a Senior Technical Designer to oversee the technical design process from concept to final product, ensuring top quality, fit, and functionality across women’s bottoms. You will drive development, lead fittings, and ensure samples meet brand standards.

Responsibilities include managing tech packs, collaborating with designers and factories, and maintaining rigorous QA throughout production. Strong CAD and PLM proficiency are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Technical Design, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of technical design experience in women’s apparel, especially for retail/wholesale brands.
• Technical Skills: Pattern making, garment construction, grading; strong fit analysis; CAD software (Gerber, Lectra, Optitex) and Adobe Illustrator; strong PLM experience (Centric a plus).
• Attention to Detail: High standards for quality and accuracy.
• Communication: Clear verbal and written communication to non-technical teams.
• Team Player: Collaborative in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Problem-Solving: Analytical and proactive in addressing challenges.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design process for women’s bottoms (pants, shorts, denim) meeting brand standards.
• Develop and maintain tech packs, specs, construction details, and measurement charts; oversee fittings and pattern corrections.
• Collaborate with designers, product developers, and factories to produce production-ready samples.
• Establish and enforce quality standards for fabrics, trims, and construction techniques.
