Job summary

Quince is seeking a Sr. Technical Designer, Women’s Denim, to own the technical design and fit of our denim bottoms from first proto to bulk production.

You will establish fit blocks, maintain technical specs, and collaborate with merchandising, sourcing, and global teams to drive best-in-class fit and quality. You will lead pattern evaluation, oversee documentation, and troubleshoot issues with vendors, ensuring alignment with Quince standards and a data-driven approach to continuous

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in fashion/garment design and related fields.
• 8+ years of technical design experience focused on women’s bottoms and denim.
• Deep understanding of denim fit, pattern making, garment construction, grading, and manufacturing.
• Proven experience managing the fit process from first prototype through bulk production.
• Strong knowledge of denim construction, washes, and finishing.
• Proficiency in pattern making and technical design software; DXF and CLO experience.
• Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to communicate actionable solutions.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and manage multiple styles.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical design and fit process for women’s denim bottoms from 1st Proto through Bulk production.
• Build and maintain fit blocks for key denim styles as a foundation for future development.
• Develop, maintain, and update technical spec pages for all styles with accuracy.
• Spec garments, run fit sessions, and provide detailed fit comments to vendors/factories.
• Evaluate denim samples and recommend improvements to fit, proportion, construction, and quality.
• Evaluate paper/digital patterns and revise to achieve target fit and silhouette.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure fit and quality at all stages.
• Partner with global technical design teams to standardize fit processes across regions.
• Use customer feedback and returns data to identify denim fit opportunities.
• Troubleshoot fit, pattern, construction issues with vendors and factories.
• Sketch flats and communicate technical info using Google Sheets and Excel.
• Ensure all garments meet Quince standards for fit, construction, and quality.
• Stay current on denim construction and industry best practices.
