J.Crew Group seeks an experienced Technical Designer to head the Women’s Dresses team, upholding brand standards for fit, construction and quality. You’ll drive technical excellence across the development process—from fit sessions to factory communications—while mentoring a team and collaborating with Design, Production, and Merchandising.

You will lead technically, manage documentation, and translate fit corrections to patterns across silhouettes, while coordinating with field reps and vendors

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of grade rules, sewing techniques and garment construction for dress products.
• Ability to evaluate fit problems and conduct independent fitting sessions on live models.
• Strong documentation skills for tech packs, specs, BOMs and data history.

Responsabilités

• Lead and mentor a team of Technical Designers and Associate Technical Designers.
• Collaborate with Design, Production, and Merchandising to align with PLC and calendars.
• Manage technical documentation, fit comments, specs and bill of materials.
• Provide solutions for fit challenges by independent fit sessions and pattern translations.
• Coordinate information flow across fit processes and factory communications.
