Job summary

JLL is seeking a Technical Designer to join the North America Interiors team in San Francisco. You will lead technical design, ensure quality control, and collaborate across architects and engineers to translate concepts into buildable solutions.

Requires 5+ years in commercial interior design, a relevant degree, and fluency with Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and MS Office. On-site location in San Francisco with up to 20% travel. visa sponsorship not provided.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience on commercial interior design projects.
• Bachelor's degree in interior design, architecture or related field.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam and MS Office.
• Knowledge of building codes and accessibility guidelines.
• Ability to research codes and interpret for best practices.
• Experience coordinating technical design deliverables and documentation workflows.
• Strong space planning and design documentation skills.
• Quality control and problem solving across disciplines.
• Strong client communication and presentation skills.
• Experience in construction administration processes and shop drawings review.
• Site visits for field verification and reporting.
• Entrepreneurial, self-motivated and multi-tasking mindset.
• Excellent listening and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Team player with collaboration focus.
• Openness to feedback and independent work within a design team.

Responsibilities

• Own documentation independently or with project team.
• Lead redline drawings and mentor team on technical work.
• Uphold firm standards for project delivery and QA/QC.
• Coordinate with Architects of Record to meet design intent.
• Manage time to meet client deadlines.
• Oversee construction administration and documentation filing.
• Communicate concepts through written, drawn and verbal means.
• Interact with Studio Lead and mentor peers on projects.
• Travel to project sites up to 20%.
