Job summary

Gensler in San Francisco seeks a Senior Designer to support interior design projects from concept through construction administration. You will translate design intent into accurate 2D/3D drawings, models, and visualizations, coordinating with project teams and external partners across workplace, sciences, aviation, transportation, and more.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in interior design or architecture, 10+ years of experience, and Revit proficiency, with in‑person office work 4–5

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in interior design or architecture.
• 10+ years of related project experience at a commercial interior design or architecture firm.
• Revit proficiency (required).
• Proficiency in 2D/3D modeling software (CAD, Enscape, 3ds Max, SketchUp, Rhino, V‑Ray).
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel).
• Knowledge of building codes and accessibility requirements.
• Enrollment in an IDP program (NCARB or NCIDQ) and in‑process state licensure.
• Ability to work in person in the office 4–5 days a week.
• Strong verbal communication skills and detail orientation.
• Three‑dimensional visualization skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all project phases: conceptual design through construction administration.
• Collaborate with design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies, and vendors.
• Produce graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and construction drawings.
• Utilize hand‑rendering techniques to communicate design concepts.
• Work with design and professional staff across projects.
• Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs.
