Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience on commercial interior design projects with hands-on design involvement.
• Bachelors or Masters in Interior Design, Architecture or related field.
• Architectural (AIA) or Design (NCIDQ) certification preferred.
• Fluent in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Adobe Suite and MS Office.
• Good knowledge of building codes and accessibility guidelines.
• Strong design fundamentals in space planning, finishes, detailing.

Responsibilities

• Lead a design team to translate client program requirements and test fits.
• Lead generation and validation of basic code analysis (eg. egress, counts, occupancy).
• Visit sites with brokers, owners and end users for concept ideation.
• Develop fee proposals and manage projects by scope, profitability, staffing.
• Support targeted business development; work with the business lead on pursuits.
• Oversee site visits, field investigations and design documentation.
• Mentor team members and develop design and technical drawings.
• Review drawings for scope accuracy and technical conformance.
• Serve as main client contact for design concepts and approvals.
• Maintain financial tracking and contribute to pitches and client pursuits.
