Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc is seeking a senior engineering leader to own end-to-end technical solution delivery for multiple product/platform teams in Houston, TX. The role drives technical priorities, mentors engineers, and engages with customers to ensure high-quality, scalable products.

The candidate will oversee agile practices, collaborate with operations and architecture teams, and coach teams through complex technical challenges while aligning with strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or 5-7 years of software development experience, including 1 year in a dev-focused leadership role.
• 8+ years of experience in developing and supporting high performance, scalable applications in an agile environment.
• Hands-on experience with underlying technologies of product/platform (languages, databases, integration).
• Strong understanding of Scrum, Lean, XP, Kanban and other agile techniques.
• Fluency in DevOps including CI/CD, configuration and containerization, infrastructure as code, and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Drives technical priorities and owns delivery and support responsibility for one or more product or platform teams.
• Oversees agile development activities and leads development of key mechanisms to support agile delivery.
• Collaborates across interdependent groups to troubleshoot technical issues and cross-team dependencies.
• May provide hands-on assistance with exceptionally complex technical solutions as a senior engineer.
• Engages with operations, enterprise architecture, and other stakeholders to manage technical requirements and estimate costs.
