Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc is seeking a Principal Software Architect to lead the design, development, and evolution of scalable enterprise platforms across supply chain and warehouse management systems, while remaining hands-on in critical code paths. You will shape architecture standards used by multiple engineering teams and drive modern cloud-native, microservices-based platforms.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software architecture leadership experience.
• Experience with enterprise-scale cloud-native, microservices and distributed systems.
• Strong ability to translate complex tech concepts for business audiences.
• Proficient across frontend, backend and platform technologies.
• Familiar with AI/ML in SDLC and data-driven solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mature the architecture practice across domains.
• Define roadmaps for cloud-native platforms and microservices.
• Provide architectural oversight on major initiatives and modernization efforts.
• Drive standardization and reusability of components and infra.
• Architect and prototype solutions for complex problems, including debugging in production.
• Partner with product, engineering and infrastructure to align with business goals.
• Drive large-scale cloud migrations from on-premises to AWS.
• Mentor engineers and architects across the organization.
• Oversee architectural design reviews and approve major solutions.
• Architect multi-region expansions with international integrations.
• Adopt AI tooling across the SDLC to boost productivity and quality.
