Job summary

Sysco Northeast RDC seeks a Principal Software Architect to lead design, development, and evolution of scalable enterprise platforms across supply chain and warehouse management systems. You will remain hands-on in critical code paths while shaping architecture standards used by multiple engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
• Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred
• 10+ years of software engineering, architecture, and technology leadership
• Experience with enterprise-scale cloud-native, microservices, and distributed systems
• Strong communication and leadership across multiple domains
• Experience with AI-enabled SDLC practices is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead and mature the architecture practice across functional domains
• Define roadmaps for cloud-native and microservices platforms
• Provide architectural oversight on major initiatives
• Modernize legacy enterprise systems with modern tech stacks
• Drive adoption of AI/ML in SDLC and solutions
• Architect multi-region system expansions with integrations
• Mentor engineers and architects for delivery excellence
• Partner with product, engineering, and infra teams to align architecture with business goals
• Oversee architecture reviews and approve technical solutions across platforms
• Drive cloud migrations to AWS and standardize components across teams
• Demonstrate leadership and strong communication across the organization
