Job summary

EY in the United States is seeking a seasoned Technical Delivery Manager to drive day-to-day execution of the engineering teams building EY’s Agentic AI platform. You will own delivery cadence across multiple programs, run Scrum ceremonies, and interrogate estimates with technical judgment.

This role is ideal for an engineer-turned-delivery lead who has credibility with senior engineers, can ask tough questions, and measures success by working capability shipped against committed dates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years in technical delivery with direct accountability for outcomes.
• Hands-on background as software/platform engineer or equivalent depth.
• Ability to evaluate estimates, decomposition, and risk with evidence.
• Proven track record running Scrum or Kanban for experienced engineers.
• Experience delivering multi-team programs with cross-team dependencies.
• Fluent with cloud-native engineering: Kubernetes, CI/CD, IaC, distributed systems, API design.
• Experience with Jira or equivalent and Git-based workflows.
• Ability to keep teams to timelines while maintaining trust.
• Ability to communicate status and trade-offs to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own the delivery cadence: run daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Drive progress against commitments: track in-flight items and surface slippage promptly.
• Hold engineers to deliverables and timelines with clear definitions of done.
• Interrogate estimates and challenge padding with technical judgment.
• Break down work into properly sized stories with clear acceptance criteria.
• Own sprint and release planning across the platform build and defend gates.
• Manage cross-discipline dependencies between platform, infra, data, security, and AFE cells.
• Own delivery risk and issue management with a live risk/critical-path view.
• Report delivery status with evidence: velocity, throughput, cycle time, defects.
• Protect the team’s focus from interruptions and competing stakeholder demands.
• Partner with engineering leads and architects on sequencing, staffing, and direction.
