Reporting Line

Sales Operations Manager

Your Role and Responsibilities

Support the assigned Sales organization and customers during the proposal process. Serve as a key technical resource, prepare technical descriptions of products and technology, determine costs, and prepare final documentation. The role is hybrid and contributes to the Process Automation Energy Industries division. Main responsibilities include:

1. Providing technical advice and commenting on enquiry specifications for customers, channels, and Sales Specialists regarding ABB products, systems, and applications.
2. Supporting technical meetings, product presentations, and negotiations.
3. Assisting proposal development with local sales units and global sales specialists/product managers.
4. Leading demonstrations of technical solutions and project value propositions to resonate with customer senior management.
5. Ensuring achievement of budget, volume, and profitability targets in the US, including orders, NPV, and NPS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field with 10+ years of experience in automation and control within chemical, oil & gas, or utilities sectors.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Expertise in automation solutions for DCS and communication protocols used in automation.
• Knowledge of digital applications in industry.
• Effective communication with sales, management, product managers, and customers.
• Ability to learn and apply technical solutions to meet customer needs.
• Skill in interpreting customer requests and formulating solutions.
• Ability to prioritize, support, and meet deadlines.
• Risk identification and mitigation planning skills.
• Willingness to travel 25-30%.
• Self-motivated with initiative to achieve results independently.
• Existing work authorization for the US.
