This position reports to

Sales Operations Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will support the assigned Sales organization (division and market) and customers during the proposal process. You will serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area, preparing technical descriptions of products and technology, determining costs, and preparing final documentation.

The work model for this role is: Hybrid

This role contributes to the Process Automation Energy Industries division.

You will be mainly accountable for:

1. Offering technical advice and commenting on enquiry specifications for customers/channels/Sales Specialists regarding ABB products/systems/applications.
2. Providing technical support during meetings, product presentations, and negotiations.
3. Supporting proposal development with local sales units and global sales specialists/product managers.
4. Leading demonstrations of technical solutions and project value propositions to resonate with customer senior management.
5. Ensuring budget (volumes) and profitable growth targets are achieved in the US; meeting targets on orders, net price variance (NPV), and Net Promoter Score (NPS).

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field with 10+ years of experience in automation and control of chemical/oil & gas/utilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Expert knowledge in Automation solutions for DCS.
• Expert knowledge of communication protocols in automation.
• Knowledge of digital applications in industry.
• Effective communication with sales, management, product managers, and customers to drive solutions.
• Ability to learn and apply technical solutions to meet customer requirements.
• Ability to interpret customer requests and formulate solutions.
• Ability to prioritize and solicit support to meet deadlines.
• Ability to identify risks and propose mitigation plans.
• Willingness to travel 25-30%.
• Demonstrates initiative and motivation with minimal supervision.
• Must have work authorization for the US.
