Reporting To

Sales Operations Manager

Role and Responsibilities

Support the assigned Sales organization (division and market) and customers during the proposal process. Serve as a key technical resource, prepare technical descriptions of products and technology, determine costs, and prepare final documentation. The work model is Hybrid. Contribute to the Process Automation Energy Industries division. Main accountabilities include:

  1. Providing technical advice and commenting on enquiry specifications for customers, channels, and Sales Specialists regarding ABB products, systems, and applications.
  2. Supporting technical meetings, product presentations, and negotiations.
  3. Assisting proposal development with local sales units and global sales specialists/product managers.
  4. Leading demonstrations of technical solutions and project value propositions tailored to customer needs.
  5. Ensuring achievement of budget, volume, and profitable growth targets, including order volume, NPV, and NPS metrics.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field, with 10+ years of experience in automation and control in chemical, oil & gas, or utilities sectors.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Expertise in Automation solutions for DCS and communication protocols in automation.
  • Knowledge of digital applications in industry.
  • Effective communication with sales, management, product managers, and customers.
  • Ability to learn and adapt technical solutions to customer needs.
  • Skill in interpreting customer requests to formulate ABB solutions.
  • Ability to prioritize, support, and meet deadlines.
  • Risk identification and mitigation planning skills.
  • Willingness to travel 25-30%.
  • Self-motivated with initiative and minimal supervision.
  • Work authorization for the US is required.
