Job summary

Colvin Run Networks seeks a skilled Technical Writer to support a federal modernization program in Washington, DC. You will write procedures, user guides, release notes, and training materials under the Lead Technical Communications Specialist, ensuring clarity for users during high-tempo operations.

You will collaborate with engineers and analysts, produce job aids, scripts for project videos, and maintain a knowledge base while ensuring Section 508 accessibility and federal suitability

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in technical writing, training development, or communications.
• Work samples showing technical material written for non-technical readers.
• Direct work with subject matter experts to confirm accuracy.
• Must be a U.S. citizen who holds an active Top Secret clearance, can obtain SCI access, and pass a federal suitability review.

Responsibilities

• Write and edit procedures, user guides, release notes, and briefings from technical and operational source material.
• Build training material and job aids, and support live training sessions.
• Support the project videos: script, capture, and edit.
• Maintain the knowledge base: keep repositories and knowledge systems current as capabilities change.
• Check accessibility: ensure content meets Section 508 and program standards.
