Job summary

Axalta is seeking a technically expert Advanced Support Specialist II to deliver color matching and hands-on technical support for our coatings products. You will collaborate with multiple teams to troubleshoot application issues, guide customers in product selection, and ensure quality across all product lines.

This role requires extensive real-world collision repair painting experience and the credibility to mentor technicians on refinishing challenges.

Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years hands-on collision repair painting experience, including production refinish.
Experience with Axalta solvent and waterborne products.
Ability to diagnose paint application concerns and explain corrective actions clearly.
Strong ownership, integrity and problem-solving mindset required.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support for color matching and product usage.
Serve as primary contact for technical inquiries related to Axalta products.
Assist customers with product selection, mixing and application across all product lines.
Identify root causes of paint film failures using interviews and visual review where possible.
Guide customers on activator and reducer choices based on temperature and conditions.
Coordinate field visits via Salesforce when in-person support is needed.
Enter complaints and feedback into Salesforce and participate in knowledge sharing.
Stay updated on SOPs, OEM trends and new Axalta products.
