Job summary

Polikov Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Technical Claim Manager for a leading specialty insurance carrier. The role focuses on complex New York casualty claims and NY labor/construction law, with no team management required.

Hybrid work arrangement; senior professional, independent, and a subject-matter expert. Large-loss exposure handling; strategic settlements and outside counsel direction.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant insurance/legal experience
• Extensive experience handling complex commercial casualty claims
• Significant knowledge of New York Construction/Labor Law

Responsibilities

• Investigating complex casualty claims and evaluating liability, damages and coverage.
• Handling significant New York Labor Law and construction-related exposures.
• Analyzing coverage issues and preparing appropriate coverage correspondence.
• Establishing and maintaining appropriate reserves.
• Managing litigated claims and proactively directing outside defense counsel.
• Evaluating settlement opportunities and driving claims toward timely, fair and economically sound resolution.
• Working closely with insureds, underwriters, claimants, attorneys and other stakeholders.
• Applying established claims best practices and exercising sound technical judgment.
