Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions is seeking a high-level Principal Technical Business Analyst and Client Product Owner to lead enterprise-scale retail technology engagements, partnering with clients, product, and engineering teams to translate business objectives into scalable solutions.

The role mentors other Business Analysts, drives best practices, and advocates for core product capabilities while delivering measurable business value in the retail POS domain.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst supporting enterprise-scale solutions.
• 10+ years of experience in the retail industry.
• Extensive experience partnering with software development teams in complex, multi-phase delivery environments.
• Proven expertise in Agile development methodologies.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Deep domain expertise in Retail POS systems and executive stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead large, complex customer engagements, ensuring business requirements are clear and achievable.
• Analyze client requirements to determine best approaches, including existing functionality or new features.
• Advocate for product and guide client decision-making.
• Conduct interviews, surveys, and workshops to understand business needs.
• Define and document project scope using artifacts from sales and client workshops.
• Translate complex requirements into product requirements, including edge cases and impacts on other areas.
• Create and maintain clear requirements documentation from client and product perspectives.
• Oversee and review work by BAs to ensure fit for client and product.
• Learn Toshiba systems to become a retail SME and manage client backlog as lead BA.
• Build trusted advisor relationships with client and project team.
• Research functionality questions using test systems and SME input.
• Support development during build and assist with testing and test cases.
• Manage scope and lead BA best practices and mentorship.
• Assist in change management of new processes within BA/PSO.
• Travel up to 25%.
