Tencent America LLC is seeking a Technical Artist to lead advanced visual features and pipelines for our Lightspeed Studios art team. You will set high standards, mentor junior artists, and collaborate across Art, Engineering, and Production to deliver cutting-edge visuals for shipped AAA titles.

Applicants should have deep knowledge of Unreal Engine, PBR workflows, and scripting with C++/Python. Expect a competitive package with relocation options and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of the content creation pipeline (modeling, texturing, shading, lighting, FX, rigging, animation).
• Demonstrable experience with modern game content creation workflows.
• Proven experience as a Technical Artist on shipped AAA titles.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead and implement technical solutions for the art team with high standards; mentor junior Technical Artists.
• Collaborate with teams to manage in-house and outsourced assets.
• Drive development of visuals that enhance game design.
• Prototype and author graphics features requiring high technical expertise.
• Develop novel content creation techniques and workflows to improve efficiency and quality.
• Work with Art, Engineering, and Production to meet dependencies and requirements.
• Support the Art team in debugging tools and game-related issues.
• Optimize runtime performance and memory usage.
