Job summary

Electronic Arts is seeking a Senior Technical Artist to bridge creative vision and technical execution. You will design scalable pipelines, optimize real-time performance, and develop workflows for characters, environments, lighting, and VFX.

You’ll report to a Technical Art Director and mentor junior artists while collaborating with Rendering Engineers, Art Directors, and Tools Developers. The role emphasizes leadership, prototyping new rendering techniques, and cross‑disciplinary problem

Qualifications

  • 6+ years in video game production or visual effects.
  • 3+ years in a Technical Art role.
  • Deep engine experience (Unreal/Unity or AAA engines) with rendering knowledge.
  • Scripting in Python; familiarity with shaders or visual shader graphs.

Responsibilities

  • Architect scalable art pipelines and content integration workflows.
  • Lead runtime performance profiling across hardware generations.
  • Integrate procedural workflows and complex shaders into the engine.
  • Collaborate with artists and software engineers to define requirements.
  • Mentor junior technical artists and standardize workflows.
  • Prototype new rendering techniques and digital asset workflows.
